Access: Use the public courtyard approach from rue de Montpensier. Stop on the paving between the columns, away from grilles, entrances and any cordoned areas. Looking is sufficient; climbing or balancing on the columns is not part of the task.
Cost: Free access to the public courtyard during domain opening hours; no purchase or booking is required. Government offices are not part of the visit.
Opening times: Daily: 08:00–22:30 from 1 April to 30 September; 08:00–20:30 from 1 October to 31 March. Security restrictions and temporary closures take precedence.
Accessibility: Columns of different heights interrupt the courtyard space. A step-free route through the selected stopping area has not been established.
